The new high-end baitcast fishing reel from the DAIWA Japan range. By combining the new HYPER DRIVE DESIGN concept with the new SV BOOST brake concept, DAIWA offers an extremely light and yet very resilient baitcast fishing reel, which has been pre-configured via the basic settings so that even an experienced angler does not have to change any settings to to achieve optimal results.
The Hyper Drive Design concept includes a combination of a torsion-resistant housing - the Hyper Armed Housing - made of magnesium, which stores the gear unit securely and torsion-resistant in the fishing reel body - with a CNC-milled Hyper Drive Digigear . This gear is made even stronger by the larger teeth in the drive wheel and, thanks to the special manufacturing process, offers a very smooth and smooth run. The Hyper Tough Clutch freewheel lever was also designed in such a way that it does not turn over unintentionally even when thrown by force or when used frequently. Due to the Hyper Double Support, the Pinion Gear is mounted on both sides by a ball bearing so that there is a better and more even power transmission of the crank. The surface of the Pinion Gear has also been specially treated to reduce electrostatic corrosion and increase the service life.
The new SV Boost brake concept optimizes the throwing distance and reduces the risk of line tangles. This includes the following technical details:
The extremely light G1 duralumin spool starts running immediately without any great initial resistance
The zero adjuster of the mechanical spool brake is preset in such a way that optimal casting distances are achieved. (It is recommended not to change this setting)
The Zero Shaft consists of an extremely short spool axis that generates less friction and is therefore ideal for light casting weights.
The TWS system ensures less frictional resistance in the line guide
The magnetic brake is set for the fine adjustment to the bait weight used and ensures less tangling during the throw with optimized casting performance - compared to the SV concept, the magnetic brake only intervenes to a reduced extent in the final phase of the throw.
